We're looking forward to our Archaeology Weekend next Summer over the weekend of
19 & 20 July. This will be different with all the stalls displaying their artisan craft skills from musket ball making to salt making to leather working and some great gifts to buy 
Tea and home-made cakes. We're at East Dean Market on the 4th Wednesday in the month and at South Downs National Park Visitor Centre.

Coffee lovers can look forward to proper coffee from the Lavazza machine in the Barns.  There's a Craft Brew at Long Man Brewery and and artisan roaster "Liquid Spirit" at Litlington to visit
The new Heringaud Barn - named after a Family from the C13th who owned the Manorial Farm - is two bedrooms two shower rooms and a fantastic location here in the middle of West Dean village in the South Downs National Park.  We're just 5 mins walk from the new Vistor Centre.  Short Breaks are available for 3 nights and more

We are Award Winnng Holiday Cottages on a small farm in West Dean. The Seven Sisters Country Park is a few minutes away and Friston Forest surrounds this South Downs hamlet. The sea and undeveloped estuary at Cuckmere Haven, Glyndebourne and Lewes are close by and the resorts of Brighton and Eastbourne are just a few miles.
Visitb the South Downs NP a gfew minute on foot through the woods for wildlife updates, maps and trails and cooked breakfast at the Salt Marsh Cafe
Dogs are welcome and the field next to the Barns is good for that early and late walk.  Lots of off road forest trails as well as riverside paths to the sea at Cuckmere Haven and Alfriston and Seven Sisters.
