The Archaeology Weekend  The Trench excavation went well and mortar for dating was extracted.  Over the weekend a good number of Visitors took the free tours of the restored Francis Bacon inspired Elizabethan terrace, saw the Trench and enjoyed tea and homemade cakes. DOGS  We welcome a dog to stay with a small biscuit and a map to help them enjoy planning walks.  And the field next to the Barns is good for that early and late walk.  Lots of off road forest trails as well as riverside paths to the sea at Cuckmere Haven and Alfriston and Seven Sisters.
